Curu Wildlife Reserve
This is a great place to start your hiking adventure. The reserve covers over 3,700 acres of beautiful forest and more than 650 feet of pristine beach. The Curu Wildlife Reserve has eight hiking trails with various difficulties.
Cerro Barra Honda Loop
This trail loop wraps around a total of about five miles. You can find the trail near Nicoya, Guanacaste. It will take most people about 2-3 hours to complete the loop. Take your time and explore one of the caves that are open to the public.
Cobano Blanco Nature Reserve
Right on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, you will find the Cobano Blanco Nature Reserve. Inside the nature reserve are many lush forests, making it an ideal place to spot wildlife.
